The catastrophe in Zimbabwe is simulated. It is not natural but man-made. It has always been a source of concern to us that the losers of the elections two years ago continue to hold sway in the way this country is governed. The suspicions of the masses are well founded, the cynicism with which Zanu PF and Mugabe have manipulated the talks is breathtaking.

Relying on the barely disguised bias and support of Mbeki the cowardice of the MDC leadership and the impotence of the SADC, Mugabe participated in the talks and agreed to a deal without the slightest intention of surrendering power. The purpose of the agreement was to use the support of MDC it enjoys in the International Community.

There was so much hope and confidence that power-sharing arrangement will deliver a better life for the majority on that the MDC would become the agent of change in Zimbabwe by influencing forward-looking policies through Parliament ,Cabinet and the Council of Ministers, which PM Morgan Tsvangirai heads but few known and ambitious rejected individuals at the polls in 2008 are holding 12 million Zimbabweans at ransom. The whole populace of Zimbabwe has been reduced into miserable and maddening poverty in a country which is awash with diamonds and fertile lands.

The farming land is now owned by Zanu PF rather than the Zimbabwe people. No landmarks yet on restoration of the rule of law, the revival of the judiciary system and support of civil society which thy should be encouraged to pursue their goals without state intimidation. President Zuma will not successfully mediate between Zimbabweans and Robert Mugabe? To be frank there is absence of good political management and lack of political will to correct the situation, Mugabe’s personal banker Gideon Gono, and Attorney General Tomana thy still need go.

Roy Bennett nominee for Deputy Minister of Agriculture must sworn in! There is no doubting at the moment where political power rests. Mugabe is pressing ahead with the controversial Indigenisation law, Kariba draft constitution and controversial appointment of Chiweshe who was at the helm of ZEC in 2008 and is viewed as the man who helped Mugabe cling to power he is aware that George is not credible to be honoured with such job of Judge President in the High Court.

Zanu PF is now laying the foundation for next future election campaign. It is unfortunate that PM Tsvangirai has now been reduced to reacting to Zanu PF’s reform agenda plans, sanctions are the only scapegoat of people who are struggling to maintain unwanted grip.

If the rejected losers of the elections two years ago trusted what thy have done in the last 30 years thy should have long left power. It is time the African Union (AU) learns that there are governments that will do anything to subvert the will of the people. The AU must devise ways of making this habit impossible and intolerable on the continent.
